Bonnie, The Bait Lady, leads almost a fictional life is what her daughter says. And when you see what she does every day, you would have to agree. There hasn’t been a time when my husband and I go fishing in the area of the mouth of the Homosassa River where it empties into the Gulf of Mexico that we haven’t seen and visited The Bait Lady. She is always friendly, seems easy going, and my goodness, she has the best fresh bait that she catches herself. Bonnie has a doctorate in history, has been a sculptor, lecturer, and teacher.
