Dead Battery-Find the Bright Side

June 25, 2017 by Lynn Sholes Leave a Comment

Find the bright side! Here’s a new flip. Not mine—but it’s a true story. Someone (not naming) was all ready to go somewhere today, and when she got in the car, the battery was dead. She posted that on Facebook and a friend replied—”I’d rather have a dead battery and have money to buy a new one than not have enough money to buy a car in the first place.” This was followed by a smiley face and then another comment. “There’s always a bright side.”

Good advice. I know the person with the dead battery, and she ALWAYS has a positive attitude. She is usually the one to perk up another person. I’m sure she flipped it to the bright side on her own. But it’s nice to have a friend remind you when suffering a moment of frustration. We all have those moments or days, and that’s okay. We deserve it. Life gets overwhelming at times. But remember to flip things to the bright side, and nudge a friend to find the sunny side when they need it.
