Close Encounter of the Sea Kind—Up Close and Personal!

June 17, 2017 by Lynn Sholes 9 Comments

We had a lovely 4-day getaway with friends in a little Florida coastal town called, Steinhatchee (pronounced steenchatchee). We love being on the water and fishing, so we were thoroughly enjoying ourselves. Remember my motto—salt air cures everything!  I’d had a miserable sinus infection, and the salt air was just the thing (plus an antibiotic) to make me feel better. Good thing I didn’t know what was about to happen.

FLIP IT

June 10, 2017 by Lynn Sholes Leave a Comment

Playing in the rain (click to see the video) I have decided to make an attitude adjustment. We had two of our precious little grandbabes visiting (NeeNee and Abuelo’s summer camp) for the week. I’d forgotten just how fun it is to be a kid—run, play, imagine, run some more just because you can, find wonder in the smallest thing, be curious, and look at the world as an awesome place to be. I thought to myself, yep, you need their attitude. I made up my mind to be like a kid again and started to FLIP IT.  Just like when we told the boys we couldn’t go out in the boat because it was raining, they didn’t let that news slow them down. They played in the rain, stomped in mud puddles, raced their little bikes through standing water and squealed with laughter at the splash. They imagined they were in a Jurassic world and had their own dinosaurs bounding through the trees and palmettos. What a great way to live. They flipped something around—bad news was it was raining, and we weren’t going out in the boat—they turned it into good news. They could do a lot of things playing in the rain.

Old Prophecy, Myth, and Legend

May 28, 2017 by Lynn Sholes Leave a Comment

The old prophecy about the Spear of Destiny states,”Whosoever possesses the Spear and understands the powers it serves holds in his hands the destiny of the world for good or evil.”

This Spear of Destiny is at the center of the book THE DESTINY CODE.

There are several spears that claim to be the legendary one from the Bible. But for this blog, I will only mention the legends and myths and truths about the one in Vienna.

More on Indigos

May 22, 2017 by Lynn Sholes Leave a Comment

Some of you have asked for me to tell you more of what I’ve learned about Indigo children. It is a fascinating subject. Supposedly, there has been a large wave of these children since 1970. Some say they are here to prepare us for the coming new world—and to lead us there.  They are called Indigos because of the royal blue aura that surrounds them that psychics and others claim to see. Kirlian photography can also capture an aura, however, that is subject to controversy. (I’d like to give that a try, but it involves electrodes and voltage, and I don’t do lightning or electricity!). There appear to be a huge number of characteristics or descriptors of Indigos. The ones I post here are the most common. Indigo children are spiritual by nature, highly sensitive, and often recall being in Heaven before they were conceived or born. Some can recall details of choosing their parents or have vivid memories of a past life when there is no way the child could have obtained such knowledge. In general, they have a “sense of knowing” and special perceptions. They are able to access “data” that other’s cannot. Adjectives also used to describe them are: empathetic, clairvoyant, intuitive, enlightened, willful, rebellious. These children have an expanded awareness and a sense of knowing there is a greater power. They are healers and frequently possess talents in the arts. They have come to this world to lead, and therefore you often hear they have a warrior spirit. Indigos know they are different, and the parents are aware of that when the child is very young. Commonly, they have high IQs.

Prodigy

May 21, 2017 by Lynn Sholes 1 Comment

I was doing research for THE DESTINY CODE (previously pubbed as THE HADES PROJECT) when I came across this most remarkable young girl. Her name is Akiane Kramarik. She was born in 1994. Her mother is Lithuanian and her father an American. The family was poor, and they had no television or radio. Both parents were atheists. When Akiane was four years old, she began to have visions and dreams. One day she had a dream of meeting God, face-to-face, yet she wasn’t sure because she’d never met or been told about God. She began to describe her life in Heaven in great detail and with sophistication. Her mother was surprised because she knew no one could have influenced her child. At age 6, Akiane began painting, expressing her visions through art because there were no words that could translate what she had seen. She said God gave her these details in vivid visions and dreams. She is homeschooled and her talents self-taught. Akiane was the inspiration for Tera Jordan in THE DESTINY CODE. Some refer to Akiane as an Indigo child.child.

At Last

May 10, 2017 by Lynn Sholes 2 Comments

I hear Etta James in the background singing that beautiful song. “At Last” my website is functioning! I hope you will keep checking back and also peek at Behind the Keys and Talk to Me.  As for today, Florida weather is beautiful, and hubby went fishing with his buddy, leaving me here to work. Many days I have to ask myself if I want to go fishing or work on my writing. The answer is always I want to go fishing, but I need to work on my writing. Want and need are two different things. I don’t always put need before want. Today I did. And I’m happy because I got a lot done.
